Start the Violence
Synopsis : The Dirty Pair (with all new look &
feel) break into a military dictatorship maximum security prison (looks like its in one of
those 'orbital habitat' things in Plague of Angels) to rescue a political prisoner. Full
computer colour, Start The Violence is the first Dirty Pair adventure from Adam Warren's
Gen13, Titans and Battle Chasers stories and he has continued on with the artistic style
developed from them including pouty collagen filled lips.

This comic was first released as three parts
inside Dark Horse Presents in black and white. The colour version is a one issue release
but get them all. In the adventure, and the ones to come (Run from the Future) Kei and
Yuri look younger than compared to Fatal But Not Serious and the previous adventures, much
like Dirty Pair Flash was to the Dirty Pair animation. Even in A Plague of Angels, Kei and
Yuri looked much older than their 19 years (they looked spectacular, PoA is was my first
exposure to Adam Warren's Dirty Pair, and my favourite). This new look is completly
different to other renditions, a paradigm shift compared to the evolutions that occured in
previous adventures.
